The first Laguiole knife was made by a farmer in 1829, in the small village of Laguiole in the Aveyron region of France. Laguiole is not a brand name and therefore does not belong to one specific company, which is why you can find Laguiole style cutlery made legally in different countries, across a range of prices and quality points.
In recent years, some Laguiole knives made in China have been distributed in Europe, America and Australasia.Ā Our range is imported from Coutellerie Neron, a 3rd generation manufacturer based outside Thiers City, Frence. They are considered one of the best knife manufacturers in France.
Each handle features the trademark "bee", stainless steel bolsters, five rivet construction and ABS plastic for extra durability and maintenance free use.
Blades are made of high grade stainless steel, stamped, polished, then micro serrated to give a sharp cutting edge.
