Frida had created a cult following years after her death. Frida suffered from Polio as a child and then nearly died in a accident which left her with many painful injuries. She often depicted her pain in her paintings, of her 143 paintings, 55 were self portraits. Born in 1907, she died at 47, so a short but colourful life. Frida is often depicted in Mexican style embroidered dresses and flowers in her hair.
